This month MIX talks to chairman/CEO of Capitol Music Group Steve Barnett, head of strategic operations at UMG Barak Moffitt, VP of Capitol Studios Paula Salvatore, VP/general manager/chief engineer of Capitol Studios Art Kelm, legendary producer/engineer Al Schmitt, and many more from the Capitol family.
Then, in our Sound for Picture section, we focus on sound for TV, with stories about creating the audio for the classic game show Let's Make a Deal, Breaking Bad prequel Better Call Saul, and Soviet spy thriller The Americans.
We also talk to engineer Nick Launay about recording jazz singer Cassandra Wilson's latest album, Coming Forth by Day.
