This month MIX talks to Shorefire Recording Studio owner/operator Joe DeMaio, Palomar Audio's Danny White, and Pepper Denny of Pepper's Pro Shop about the history of three legendary Helios consoles and where they are now: The Townhouse, Manor Mobile, and the Manor Helios.
Next, the MIX editors cover the emergence of 2.4GHz wireless and round up recent offerings from a variety of manufacturers, including AKG, Line 6, and Sennheiser.
We also talk to composer Shota Nakama about his Video Game Orchestra, as well as producer Dave Fridmann and producer/engineer Cole Marsden Greiff-Neill about recording The Vaccines latest album, English Graffiti.
