TWICE Top 50 Major Appliance Retailers
Fueled by a housing market comeback and greater macroeconomic equilibrium, major appliance sell-through continued to rebound last year, far outpacing retailers’ flat results in the sister CE category. Indeed, according to TWICE’s first-ever Top 50 Major Appliance Retailers report, the country’s largest white-goods dealers posted a cumulative 5 percent increase in majap sales in 2014, bettering the overall marketplace by 2 percentage points.
The exclusive study, produced with TWICE market research partner The Stevenson Company/TraQline, showed retail sales of refrigerators, laundry pairs, dishwashers, ovens, microwave ovens and ACs hitting a record $26.8 billion for these chart-topping dealers, with multiregional CE and appliance chains like Best Buy and Fry’s showing the greatest share growth.
